Santa Clarita Deputies Monitor Bear Hanging Out In Tree of Valencia Neighborhood

Bear sightings are usually rare in the area, but not this week. Shortly after 11:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 26000 block of Laguna Court in Valencia, after officials became aware of social media posts involving reports of a bear in the neighborhood.

LASD Investigates if Party-goers Were Drugged at Calabasas Party of YouTuber Jake Paul

An investigation is underway into a house party hosted by YouTuber Jake Paul over the weekend in Calabasas where authorities say a case of "unwillful impairment" may have occurred.  LA County Fire received three calls from the home on Saturday night, including two for people who were transported to the hospital for intoxication.

Actor Rick Schroder Arrested Amid Suspicion of Domestic Violence

49-year-old Schroder was booked and held in lieu of $50,000 bail. According to investigators, a "similar incident" occurred between the actor and victim at the same home shortly before 12:30 a.m. on April 2.

LA County Sheriff's Department Joins Thousands of Law Enforcement Officers to Pay Tribute at the California Peace Officers' Memorial

The California Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremonies are held the first week of May on the State Capitol grounds in Sacramento. Sheriff Alex Villanueva, along with members of the Department, had the honor escorting the family & close personal friends of fallen LASD Deputy Steven Belanger during the enrollment ceremony. We paid tribute to +1500 officers who’ve made ultimate sacrifice.
