LASD Major Crimes Bureau and Santa Clarita Station's Crime Impact Team Arrest Man on Suspicion of Terrorist Threats   

Officials stated deputies took the man into custody on a warrant for making “terrorist threats.” The suspect was facing eviction and made threats to kill individuals if they came to get him, a spokesperson for the station said.

Department Personnel Pay Respects to Fallen VSO Sergeant Ron Helus During Police Unity Bicycle Tour 

On April 7, 2019, at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, the Police Unity Tour, Southern California Chapter VII, paid a special tribute during a training ride through Ventura County. They conducted a wreath laying ceremony to memorialize and honor the fallen  Ventura Sheriff Sergeant Ronald Helus.

Homicide Detectives Looking for Information on Murder of Arcadia Woman

A 76-year-old woman was found murdered in the backyard of her home in Arcadia Tuesday morning and her car is missing. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reports that a construction worker found the woman’s body at around 7 a.m. in the 300 block of East Forest Avenue.

Congratulations to Sheriff Villanueva and Assistant Sheriff Olmsted for Being Inducted into the American Legion Star Post #309!

Sheriff Villanueva said, "I'm proud to be inducted into the American Legion LA Sheriff's Star Post 309. Also inducted was Assistant Sheriff Olmsted, an Army veteran of Vietnam. I applaud the good work that they have been doing to advocate on behalf of the military veterans in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department."
