The suspect in custody in connection with the brutal stabbing of a 63-year-old man at a donut shop in Maywood earlier this month had been arrested later that same day after brandishing a knife at security at a Target store in Azusa.

LA County Sheriff's Deputies and Firefighters Move Quick to Secure Child From Falling Out of Window

Deputies were preparing to catch the young girl if the screen gave out, while others yelled up to her repeatedly to “go sit on your bed” or “step back from window,” to which the young girl was unresponsive, according to witnesses.

Sheriff's Detectives Searching for Additional Victims of Sexual Abuse by Agoura Hills Jiujitsu Trainer

A jiujitsu trainer and owner of a facility in Agoura Hills was arrested on suspicion of rape and lewd acts with a child.  Nicollas Welker Araujo, 27, was arrested Thursday in Santa Clarita, Authorities believe there may be more victims.

Firefighter Travels to US from England to Visit LA Sheriff's Deputy Whose Life He Saved During Vegas Shooting

Tony Dumbleton, a firefighter visiting from England, was at a nearby hotel when gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire, killing 58 people. He gave sheriff Andrew Dahring first aid after seeing him covered in blood. He had been shot twice.
