LA County releases proposed cannabis policies for unincorporated areas

The Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has released proposed policies for the regulation of commercial medical and adult-use cannabis in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. The proposed policies will be presented to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for approval in early 2018.

From May through August 2017, OCM conducted extensive outreach to solicit feedback on stakeholder desires and concerns for commercial cannabis regulations, including twenty public listening sessions held throughout the County, numerous presentations to community groups and town councils, and convening of the Advisory Working Group. The proposed policies reflect input received from the public, recommendations provided by the Advisory Working Group, and close consultation with many County departments.

Comments and questions on the proposed policies can be submitted to the Office of Cannabis Management via email at cannabis@lacounty.gov, or online at http://cannabis.lacounty.gov/connect/. For other questions, please visit our FAQ.
