Mayor's Business Award - LeVecke Corporation

The City of Jurupa Valley is pleased to highlight LeVecke Corporation, another locally and family owned business. With over 75 years of experience, LeVecke has grown into one of the most respected names in the business by blending tradition with innovation in each alcoholic beverage they bottle.
Known for their commitment to quality and sustainability, LeVecke Corporation is a trusted partner to major retailers, producing Kirkland Signature Vodka and Trader Joe's Egg Nog Liqueur at their Jurupa Valley headquarters. In addition to their diverse bottling portfolio, LeVecke also produces its own branded beverages at their distillery located in Maui, Hawaii. Most recently, LeVecke corporation was awarded 11 million dollars through the California Competes Tax Credit program to create more jobs locally and support their commitment to growth in Jurupa Valley.
LeVecke's multi-generational leadership, innovation and investments in the community have earned them the Mayor's Business Recognition Award for the month of December!

Mayor's Business Award - Jurupa's Café

This month, the City of Jurupa Valley shines a spotlight on Jurupa's Café, a locally and family-owned business operated by Councilmember Guillermo Silva and his wife, Lissette Silva. Since opening its doors in April, Jurupa’s Café has quickly become a beloved gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
Known for its hearty country-style breakfasts, classic lunch favorites, and authentic Mexican dishes that feel like home, Jurupa’s Café embodies the spirit of community and hospitality. Their commitment to quality and local roots makes them a perfect example of why supporting small businesses matters.

Jurupa Valley and Think Together Job Fair
 We are pleased to share that Think Together’s hiring event, hosted at Jurupa Valley City Hall, was a great success. Due to the strong turnout of over 50 job seekers (including 33 walk-ins), Think Together will be reconnecting with the City’s Economic Development team to host a similar hiring event in February/March. These entry-level positions provide valuable hands-on experience for individuals interested in mentoring and supporting Jurupa Valley youth, while also offering pathways for professional growth through training and career development. This event also provided a unique opportunity for Jurupa Valley residents to work within the community. We will continue to keep you updated on the next hiring event.

First Community Capital's Rising Star Awards
 The City’s Economic Development team was pleased to attend First Community Capital’s 3rd Annual Microbusiness Rising Star Awards in Downtown Riverside on Thursday, November 20th. This event honored exceptional microbusiness owners who are driving positive change, creating jobs, and uplifting communities across the region.
We are proud to share that the Male-Owned Microbusiness of the Year award was presented to Jurupa Valley business owner and U.S. Army veteran Maxwell Kwame Setsoafia of Volta Medical Group. The City extends its warmest congratulations to Mr. Setsoafia on this well-deserved recognition.

Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center 61st Anniversary
 On Saturday, November 15th, the Jurupa Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the 61st Anniversary of the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center. The event recognized the lasting impact the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center has had on the community and highlighted the recent transfer of ownership to Jurupa Area Recreation and Parks District.
The City extends heartfelt congratulations to the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center on this remarkable milestone and looks forward to their continued success in inspiring and educating the community!

Shop Jurupa Valley Campaign
This is a reminder of the importance of shopping and dining in Jurupa Valley. Shopping and dining locally accomplishes the following:
- Reduces air pollution since automobiles travel fewer miles

- Stimulates our local economy
- Facilitates community building
- Allows discovery of unique finds
- Re-circulates money back into our community (“multiplier effect”)

Register Your Business
All businesses must register with the City of Jurupa Valley to obtain a Business Registration Certificate. Registering your business ensures your business is operating in the proper zone and is a permitted use. Businesses must also renew their business registration on an annual basis to remain compliant with the City of Jurupa Valley Municipal Code.
Businesses that are not physically located within the City limits may also be required to obtain a City of Jurupa Valley Business Registration Certificate if they are working within the City.

Retail Theft Prevention Program
 In partnership with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the City of Jurupa Valley launched a comprehensive Retail Theft Prevention Program to protect local businesses. This initiative provides small businesses with educational resources to protect their establishment. Retail theft costs businesses thousands each year and impacts community safety. By partnering with local law enforcement, businesses can reduce losses and create a safer shopping environment this holiday season! Business owners can schedule a free evaluation of their business security by contacting the City of Jurupa Valley's Theft Prevention Coordinator by emailing Kryan@JurupaValley.org or calling 951-332-6464 ext. 143.

Jurupa Road Grade Separation Project
 The Jurupa Road Grade Separation Project will create a four-lane underpass on Jurupa Road under Van Buren Blvd. Upon completion, this underpass will significantly improve safety and traffic circulation for its users.

 MicroEnterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California consists of a diverse coalition of community leaders dedicated to improving small business development in the Inland Empire and eastern Los Angeles County. The purpose of the MicroEnterprise Collaborative is to create and sustain businesses and jobs through micro-business development.

State & Federal Clean Energy Incentives
 The Office of Economic Development has launched a new Clean Energy Tax Incentives and Federal Programs webpage on RivCoED.org. This section of the webpage compiles a variety of state and federal incentives available to support clean energy innovation and sustainability efforts in Riverside County. These opportunities, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the California Energy Commission’s programs, provide a range of tax credits, grants, and funding options for businesses and entrepreneurs.
