City Manager's Message
August is an exciting month in Jurupa Valley, and I’m proud to share a few highlights.
We’re thrilled to welcome the City’s first Target store (opening mid-August) and bring convenient shopping and new local jobs to our community. This marks a big milestone for Jurupa Valley and shows how we continue to grow and attract quality retail options for our residents.
We also recently celebrated the winners of our first-ever Home Recognition Program! Five homeowners were recognized for their curb appeal, creativity, and community pride. Their efforts reflect the best of Jurupa Valley—neighbors investing in their homes and neighborhoods.
This month also brings two great opportunities for local job seekers. We’re partnering with ReachOut and the Jurupa Valley Chamber of Commerce to host a Resume Workshop on August 13 and a Job Fair on August 27. Whether you're entering the workforce or exploring new opportunities, these events are a great way to connect with employers and sharpen your skills.
Lastly, be on the lookout for new construction activity, including our citywide street slurry renovation project to improve road conditions across the City.
To stay up to date on the latest City news and events, visit www.JurupaValley.org and follow us on social media.
Wishing you and your family a safe and joyful end to the summer season.
— City Manager Rod Butler
