City Manager's Message
Summer Excitement in Jurupa Valley
As we step into summer, there’s a buzz of excitement across Jurupa Valley—and for good reason. We’re proud to announce the upcoming opening of the City’s first Target store, a major milestone that’s been eagerly anticipated by residents and families throughout our community. This new addition reflects Jurupa Valley’s continued growth and commitment to expanding local shopping options.
On Friday, June 6, Target will host a one-day hiring event at Jurupa Valley City Hall, giving residents the chance to apply, interview, and get hired right here in their own community. It’s a great opportunity for those looking to join a well-respected national brand while working close to home.
Summer fun is also in full swing. Don’t miss Jurupa Valley Baseball Night with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Wednesday, June 4. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic night at the ballpark as we cheer on the Quakes and celebrate our community. Be sure to catch Mayor Brian Berkson throwing out the first pitch and Deputy City Manager Amy Sells singing the National Anthem—a special moment that brings together baseball and Jurupa Valley pride.
And of course, no summer in Jurupa Valley is complete without celebrating our deep equestrian roots. The Jurupa Valley Pro Rodeo returns on June 6 and 7, and it’s a tradition you won’t want to miss. Join us for two days of excitement, community spirit, and Western heritage.
We’re entering a season of momentum, celebration, and new beginnings. I hope to see you at one (or all!) of these great events.
Follow us on social media and visit us online at www.JurupaValley.org to stay up to date on everything happening in our City.
Sincerely,
Rod Butler City Manager City of Jurupa Valley

Bellegrave Area Community Meeting: Planning for a Safer, More Livable Neighborhood
Wednesday, June 4
The City of Jurupa Valley invites residents, business owners, and property owners to attend a Community Meeting regarding the Bellegrave Study Area on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Jurupa Valley City Hall, 8930 Limonite Ave.
This meeting is part of the City’s ongoing efforts following the adoption of the Truck Intensive Use Ordinance and the City Council’s direction to evaluate five industrial study areas for potential rezoning. The goal is to reduce truck impacts and ensure land uses are more compatible with surrounding neighborhoods.
The Bellegrave Study Area is one of the identified zones, and the City is proposing a rezone to better align with the General Plan’s Business Park designation. City staff will present the proposed changes and seek community input to help shape future decisions.
Feedback gathered at the meeting will be presented to the City Council for consideration in determining next steps for a potential rezone.
Spanish interpretation will be available. We encourage you to attend and share your thoughts!
For more information and reserve your seat, please contact the City's Planning Division at (951) 332-6464 ext. 134 or email, Jpechous@jurupavalley.org.
