 The City of Jurupa Valley is excited to once again partner with the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center in hosting a business workshop at City Hall. This free event is open to the public and is designed to educate entrepreneurs on how to launch or grow their business online. All attendees will also receive a complimentary 6 months subscription to the www.californiashopsmall.com eCommerce platform. Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to reserve their spot as soon as possible to ensure participation.

Mayor's Business Visitation Program - Panaderia Jalisco

As part of the ongoing Mayor’s Business Visitation Program, the City is pleased to recognize Panaderia Jalisco for its valuable contributions to the local economy and community. Located at 4955 Felspar St., Suite F, Panaderia Jalisco has been a fixture in the Jurupa Valley community since 2004. Panaderia Jalisco is primarily known for its fresh, authentic Mexican breads and pastries, including pan dulce (sweet bread), bolillos, cookies, and ready-made cakes. They are also known for specialty items such as bolillos with cheese and jalapeno, champurrado (chocolate-based beverage), and tamales.
Panaderia Jalisco is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Dedicated staff members begin their day as early as 4:30 AM to prepare fresh, high-quality bakery products each morning for their customers.

Grand Opening - Country Estates

The City of Jurupa Valley was present at the grand opening unveiling of Country Estates (also known as Saddlehorn Ranch), a 19.36 acre lot that has been subdivided in 31 single family detached homes. Country Estates is located at 4991 Riverview Dr. The new subdivision features three different floor plans, animal keeping, a minimum of 1/2 acre lots, 4-car garage options, and cul de sac views. Fifty percent of the homes in the first phase of the project have already been sold, reflecting strong interest and demand.

Grand Re-Opening - Jurupa Community Center

The Jurupa Community Center (JCC) re-opened to the public on May 30th after undergoing extensive renovations. The Jurupa Community Center is located at 4810 Pedley Rd. and is operated by Jurupa Area Recreation and Park District. The JCC serves as event space and is equipped with a full-kitchen, tables, chairs, garden, and small play ground. In addition, the space has a capacity of 200 people.

ICSC LAS VEGAS 2025

Jurupa Valley's Economic Development team along with Mayor Brian Berkson and Councilwoman Veronica Sanchez recently attended the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in Las Vegas, Nevada. ICSC is a two day gathering of industry experts, developers, and government agencies that promotes and elevates the marketplaces and spaces where people shop, dine, work and play.
The City staffed a booth where the Economic Development team highlighted various opportunity sites throughout the City and met with several developers and retailers to discuss the status of current and potential retail development projects in Jurupa Valley.

The City of Jurupa Valley's Community Development Team is currently drafting the Rubidoux Town Center Plan, which will serve as a guide for future improvements along Mission Blvd. Several businesses along Mission Blvd. joined the walking tour in Rubidoux. Also in attendance was Councilwoman Veronica Sanchez, a dedicated advocate for the residents of District 4.
Business owners were asked to provide feedback for the Rubidoux Town Center Vision Plan in the following areas: Commercial and Civic Environment, Safety, Local Identity and Character, Customer Base and Residential Support, City Support, Opportunities and Priorities.

Target Hiring Fair

The City of Jurupa Valley partnered with Target on Friday, June 6th in hosting a hiring fair at City Hall Council Chambers. Although the event didn't start until 10 AM, job seekers arrived as early as 8 AM for the possibility to interview with the big box retailer. Target officials for the Jurupa Valley location have received over 2,500 job applications, greatly surpassing 7 other Target locations across the U.S. that are scheduled to open August 2025.
Target offered over 60 positions to job seekers and conducted over 200 job interviews at their one-day hiring event at City Hall. Target will continue to hire personnel and train them at local Target locations until their scheduled grand opening date in mid-August. Target will be located at 8063 Mission Blvd., within the Shops at Jurupa Valley Shopping Center.

Register Your Business
All businesses must register with the City of Jurupa Valley to obtain a Business Registration Certificate. Registering your business ensures your business is operating in the proper zone and is a permitted use. Businesses must also renew their business registration on an annual basis to remain compliant with the City of Jurupa Valley Municipal Code.
Businesses that are not physically located within the City limits may also be required to obtain a City of Jurupa Valley Business Registration Certificate if they are working within the City.

The Jurupa Road Grade Separation Project will create a four-lane underpass on Jurupa Road under Van Buren Blvd. Upon completion, this underpass will significantly improve safety and traffic circulation for its users.

State & Federal Clean Energy Incentives
 The Office of Economic Development has launched a new Clean Energy Tax Incentives and Federal Programs webpage on RivCoED.org. This section of the webpage compiles a variety of state and federal incentives available to support clean energy innovation and sustainability efforts in Riverside County. These opportunities, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the California Energy Commission’s programs, provide a range of tax credits, grants, and funding options for businesses and entrepreneurs.

Code Enforcement Community Meetings

The City of Jurupa Valley is hosting a series of community meetings to inform and interact with the public regarding the City's Code Enforcement program. Code Enforcement addresses health, safety and nuisance concerns; maintains/increases property values; supports economic development; and works to eliminate blight.
By attending these meetings, community members and business owners can stay informed on local regulations and code enforcement procedures. In addition, these meetings allow the public to meet their local enforcement officers, ask questions, and obtain helpful resources.

Disaster Resilient Workplace

The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), in partnership with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Disaster Resistant Business (DRB), is offering a free Resilient Workplace training series for small businesses and nonprofits. The training focuses on developing practical, customized disaster plans to help organizations remain operational after emergencies.

Riverside County Monthly Job Fair
 June 27, 2025, from 9 AM - 12:30 PM
The Riverside County Workforce Development will resume hosting their monthly job fairs at their main office, located at 1325 Spruce St., Riverside, CA, 92507. This event is free to the public. Several public agencies and for-profit businesses will be present for this event. In addition, Riverside County's Workforce Development staff provides job seekers with a career coach, resume assistance, and interviewing resources such as mock interviews, job interview tips, and how to answer common interview questions. Job seekers are asked to bring several copies of their updated resume and to dress professionally.
