Mayor's Business Visitation Program - Riviera Restaurant
Mayor Brian Berkson (far right) presents Mayor's Business Award to business owner Debbie (center) and Riviera staff members.
The Mayor’s Business Visitation Program continues with a special visit to a beloved local gem, Riviera Restaurant, located at 5633 Mission Blvd. Known for its hearty American-style breakfasts, classic brunch favorites, and flavorful Mexican dishes, Riviera Restaurant has been a staple in the Jurupa Valley dining scene for decades.
Founders Dimitri “Jimmy” and Dimitra “Dee” Kairs have deep roots in the Rubidoux area. Their journey began in 1979 when they opened the Blue Diamond restaurant in Rubidoux, which they operated until selling it in 1986. In 1995, the couple returned to the area and opened Riviera Restaurant, where they have been proudly serving the community for the past 30 years!
Following Dimitri’s passing in 2008, Dimitra, along with their children Debbie and Angelo, has continued the family legacy of great food, warm service, and strong community ties. The City of Jurupa Valley is proud to recognize Riviera Restaurant as a shining example of local entrepreneurship, dedication, and tradition.
Grand Opening - Century Communities
Mayor Brian Berkson (Middle) poses with Century Communities team members
On Thursday, April 24th at 10:00 AM, Century Communities celebrated the grand unveiling of its newest housing development with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Century Communities is located at 9893 Crossbay Loop, located on the former Paradise Knolls site.
Attendees were among the first to tour the community’s brand-new two-story townhomes, featuring the elegant “Ivory” and “Emberwood” models, which start at $478,990 and $567,990. The new townhomes make homeownership accessible to first-time buyers and middle-income families. Their design often supports walkable neighborhoods, with sidewalks, shared green spaces, and close proximity to schools, shops, and parks—all of which encourage community interaction and reduce car dependency.
