Mayor's Business Visitation Program - Cardelli's Italian Deli

The Mayor’s Business Visitation Program continues with a business visit to Cardelli's Italian Deli. Cardelli's opened on February 27, 2010, and is located at 7786 Limonite Avenue. Teresa Guziejka takes pride in her Italian Heritage, which inspired her to open an Italian Deli, which specializes in various Italian specialty subs. For over 20 years, Teresa and her husband Joseph have called Jurupa Valley home and deeply cherish being part of the community.
Most recently, Cardelli's Italian Deli made Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants for 2025, placing 45! Yelps Top 100 Restaurants is generated by utilizing community submissions rating and volume of reviews, while also accounting for the overall restaurant activity in a specific area. Once restaurants reach the "candidate list", they are narrowed down by "expertise community managers and trend experts" to curate the final 100 list.

Grand Opening - Snippz Barbershop

Snippz Barbershop hosted its grand opening ceremony on March 14th. Snippz Barbershop is an upscale, modern barbershop specializing in "classic cuts". Snippz also provides advanced booking for haircuts and mobile house calls, bringing a luxury van directly to your location for premium beauty services. They are located in the Shops at Jurupa Valley at 4134 Pyrite St., Unit 103. Business owners Robert and Rosie Santana also operate two additional barbershops in Chino and Menifee. Rosie and Robert are Jurupa Valley residents and are excited for their new business endeavor in Jurupa Valley.

Grand Opening - Jurupa's Cafe

Jurupa's Cafe hosted its grand opening on April 1st. The grand opening event featured a magician, free face painting, and a free stack of pancakes for the first fifty parties. Jurupa's Cafe is a local family owned business operated by Councilmember Guillermo "Willy" Silva. The new family eatery specializes in country-style breakfast and lunch, and Mexican dishes. They are open 7 days per week, from 6 AM - 2 PM, and are located at 5164 Etiwanda Avenue.

Grand Opening - Tractor Supply Company
 Tractor Supply staff accepts Certificate of Recognition from Mayor Brian Berkson, Councilwoman Veronica Sanchez, Planning Commision Chair Arleen Pruitt, and Planning Commisioners Penny Newman and Cristobal Rosales.
Tractor Supply Company, the nation's largest rural lifestyle retailer, recently opened its newest location on 2841 Armstrong Rd. Tractor Supply was founded in 1938, and now operates over 2,300 locations in 49 states. Tractor Supply offers an array of services and products, including clothing, equine and pet supplies, power tools, fencing, sprinkler/irrigation parts, and tractor/trailer parts and accessories. Tractor Supply is open from 8 AM - 9 PM Monday - Saturday, and Sunday from 9 AM - 7 PM.

Register Your Business
All businesses must register with the City of Jurupa Valley to obtain a Business Registration Certificate. Registering your business ensures your business is operating in the proper zone and is a permitted use. Businesses must also renew their business registration on an annual basis to remain compliant with the City of Jurupa Valley Municipal Code.
Businesses that are not physically located within the City limits may also be required to obtain a City of Jurupa Valley Business Registration Certificate if they are working within the City.

The Jurupa Road Grade Separation Project will create a four-lane underpass on Jurupa Road under Van Buren Blvd. Upon completion, this underpass will significantly improve safety and traffic circulation for its users.

 Multiple retail sites are currently available for a brand new shopping called Van Buren Marketplace. This new shopping center will be anchored by Vallarta Supermarket, a California-based supermarket chain specializing in authentic Mexican and Latin American foods.  MicroEnterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California consists of a diverse coalition of community leaders dedicated to improving small business development in the Inland Empire and eastern Los Angeles County. The purpose of the MicroEnterprise Collaborative is to create and sustain business and jobs through micro-business development.

State & Federal Clean Energy Incentives
 The Office of Economic Development has launched a new Clean Energy Tax Incentives and Federal Programs webpage on RivCoED.org. This section of the webpage compiles a variety of state and federal incentives available to support clean energy innovation and sustainability efforts in Riverside County. These opportunities, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the California Energy Commission’s programs, provide a range of tax credits, grants, and funding options for businesses and entrepreneurs.

Code Enforcement Community Meetings
 Wednesday, April 16, at 6 PM
The City of Jurupa Valley is hosting a series of community meetings to inform and interact with the public regarding the City's Code Enforcement program. Code Enforcement addresses health, safety and nuisance concerns; maintains/increases property values; supports economic development; and works to eliminate blight.
By attending these meetings, community members and business owners can stay informed on local regulations and code enforcement procedures. In addition, these meetings allow the public to meet their local enforcement officers, ask questions, and obtain helpful resources.

Zero-to-Entrepreneur: Spring 2025
 10-week course, from May - August 2025, at UC Riverside
Have a business idea but don’t know how to launch it? Whether you're a working professional, UCR student, or a local community member, Zero-to-Entrepreneur provides the knowledge, mentorship, and funding opportunities to help you build a technology-driven startup. This free, 10 week program is designed to take you from idea to execution, with expert-led training, personalized mentorship, and access to startup resources.
Those admitted to the program will receive Expert-Led Entrepreneurship training, hands-on experience at UCR's cuttng-edge labs, funding opportunities, university recognition, networking opportunities, and individualized mentorship. Applications will close on May 15th, 2025.

Riverside County Monthly Job Fair
 April 25, 2025, from 9 AM - 12:30 PM
The Riverside County Workforce Development will resume hosting their monthly job fairs at their main office, located at 1325 Spruce St., Riverside, CA, 92507. This event is free to the public. Several public agencies and for-profit businesses will be present for this event. In addition, Riverside County's Workforce Development staff provides job seekers with a career coach, resume assistance, and interviewing resources such as mock interviews, job interview tips, and how to answer common interview questions. Job seekers are asked to bring several copies of their updated resume and to dress professionally.
