Welcome to the February Edition of Jurupa Valley's Economic Development Monthly Report.
 The City of Jurupa Valley's Economic Development survey is currently available for the public to complete. By completing the survey, community members will be contributing to the City's long-term economic strategy by providing insight into the economic needs of the City, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing community well-being. The last day to complete the survey will be Friday, February 28th.

Community members will also have the opportunity to voice their opinions in-person at a public meeting on Tuesday, February 25th, from 6 - 7 p.m. at Skyview Event Center. Skyview Event Center is located at 5257 Wineville Ave.

Grand Opening - 85 ℃ Bakery Cafe
 Joe Perez, Assistant City Manager, presents a Certificate of Recognition to 85℃ Bakery.
85 ℃ Bakery Café is now open in Jurupa Valley! 85℃ Bakery held its grand opening on Friday, January 10th at their new location at 6461 Pats Ranch Rd., within the Vernola Marketplace shopping center. Hundreds of people were in attendance. Customers were treated to free tote bags, mugs, vouchers, t-shirts, and other store merchandise. 85℃ is a Taiwanese bakery chain that specializes in serving coffee, tea, cakes, desserts, and other baked goods. The menu also includes traditional Asian baked good and American style bakery goods.

Grand Opening - Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

Raising Cane's recently opened to the public on Thursday, January 30th. Raising Cane's is located at 8077 Mission Blvd., within the Shops at Jurupa Valley shopping center. Hundreds of customers waited in line for a chance to be one of twenty winners to win free Raising Cane's for a year! The first 100 dine-in customers to purchase any combo meal received a free beanie and box combo card for their visit. Congratulations to all the lucky winners!

Business Spotlight - Daiso
 Daiso has officially opened its first location in Jurupa Valley and fourth location in Riverside County! Located at 7828 Limonite Ave., Daiso now joins First Bank and Five Below in the former K-mart redevelopment site. Daiso is a Japanese retail chain that sells a wide range of products, including household goods, beauty products, and food. They are also known for their affordable, unique, and innovative products. Daiso operates over 6,000 stores worldwide, including 150 locations in the U.S.

Register Your Business
All businesses must register with the City of Jurupa Valley to obtain a Business Registration Certificate. Registering your business ensures your business is operating in the proper zone and is a permitted use. Businesses must also renew their business registration on an annual basis to remain compliant with the City of Jurupa Valley Municipal Code.
Businesses that are not physically located within the City limits may also be required to obtain a City of Jurupa Valley Business Registration Certificate if they are working within the City.

The Jurupa Road Grade Separation Project will create a four-lane underpass on Jurupa Road under Van Buren Blvd. Upon completion, this underpass will significantly improve safety and traffic circulation for its users.

 MicroEnterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California consists of a diverse coalition of community leaders dedicated to improving small business development in the Inland Empire and eastern Los Angeles County. The purpose of the MicroEnterprise Collaborative is to create and sustain business and jobs through micro-business development.

State & Federal Clean Energy Incentives
 The Office of Economic Development has launched a new Clean Energy Tax Incentives and Federal Programs webpage on RivCoED.org. This section of the webpage compiles a variety of state and federal incentives available to support clean energy innovation and sustainability efforts in Riverside County. These opportunities, including the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the California Energy Commission’s programs, provide a range of tax credits, grants, and funding options for businesses and entrepreneurs.

 The Riverside County Office of Economic Development and Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center is providing up to $5,000 for businesses located in Riverside County. All existing businesses and new businesses that started on or after July 1, 2022 are eligible to apply.

Riverside County Monthly Job Fair
 February 28, 2025, from 9 AM - 12:30 PM
The Riverside County Workforce Development will resume hosting their monthly job fairs at their main office, located at 1325 Spruce St., Riverside, CA, 92507. This event is free to the public. Several public agencies and for-profit businesses will be present for this event. In addition, Riverside County's Workforce Development staff provides job seekers with a career coach, resume assistance, and interviewing resources such as mock interviews, job interview tips, and how to answer common interview questions. Job seekers are asked to bring several copies of their updated resume and to dress professionally.
