Welcome
Welcome to the August Edition of Jurupa Valley's Economic Development Monthly Report.
This month, we are revamping our Business Spotlight Program by including a new feature: our Mayor Business Visitation Program, which includes a special visit from Mayor Guillermo Silva! Each month, a member of the City's Economic Development team will join Mayor Guillermo Silva to present a business with a Certificate of Recognition. This program will work towards strengthening the City's support services for small businesses by highlighting their significant role in the City and providing businesses with contact information for City services and resources.
Also, the City's Economic Development team & Marketing and Communications team assisted with several grand openings in the past month. For the most recent openings, follow the City's social media platforms for the latest up-to-date information.

They specialize in hand crafted tortas, burritos, tacos, quesadillas and aguas frescas. They also offer a breakfast option that includes oatmeal, breakfast croissants, classic smoothies and ice cream!
Prior to operating his current restaurant, he was the previous owner of La Parrilla Mission Taqueria. Unfortunately, Arturo's timing of purchasing and running a restaurant coincided with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Arturo quickly encountered staffing challenges and shutdowns. As a result, he was left with no choice but to close his business after one year. However, Arturo refused to give up on his dream of operating a successful restaurant in Jurupa Valley. He re-opened in a new location, downsized his scale of operation and now runs a successful eatery.
The City of Jurupa Valley is proud to recognize Arturo for his tenacity, perseverance and willingness to serve the Jurupa Valley community. For more information, visit Tortas El Charro Yelp page, www.yelp.com/biz/tortas-el-charro-riverside-2, which has an average rating of 4.7/5!
