Welcome to the June Edition of Jurupa Valley's Economic Development Monthly Report.
This month, the City of Jurupa Valley unveiled a new feature to the City website: a workforce job board. This webpage will be a centralized job recruitment and will allow users to be directly to an employer's recruitment page. Current business owners will also be encouraged to reach out to our Economic Development team for job recruitments. This webpage represents the City's commitment to connecting its residents with services, resources and job opportunities.

 Grand Opening - ALDI
ALDI has officially opened its second location in Jurupa Valley! Located at 8089 Mission Blvd., ALDI continues to offer a simple, efficient and affordable grocery shopping experience. In addition to the Jurupa Valley location, ALDI recently announced that they will continue to expand nationwide by opening an additional 800 stores by the end of 2028.

Grand Opening - Panda Express
The City of Jurupa Valley is happy to announce its first Panda Express! The Chinese-American eatery officially opened its doors on June 20th. Located at 7014 Mission Blvd., their grand opening event was filled with live music and entertainment. Over 100 people were in attendance for this grand event! The City of Jurupa Valley is also happy to announce the arrival of Pollo Campero! Dozens of people were in attendance on June 26 to receive free t-shirts, coupons and other Pollo Campero merchandise. Located at 8149 Mission Blvd., the Guatemalan-based chain offers fried chicken with a rich Central American flavor. Prior to the Jurupa Valley location, Pollo Campero recently opened for business in Fontana, Ontario and San Bernardino.
Shop Jurupa Valley Campaign
This is a reminder of the importance of shopping and dining in Jurupa Valley. Shopping and dining locally accomplishes the following:
- Reduces air pollution since automobiles travel fewer miles
- Supports existing and creates new jobs
- Stimulates our local economy
- Facilitates community building
- Allows discovery of unique finds
- Re-circulates money back into our community (“multiplier effect”)
- Encourages improved customer service
Business Spotlight - Vicky's
This month, we are highlighting Vicky's Restaurant! Vicky's specializes in American-style cuisine and offers a dine-in, take-out or drive-thru option. Located at 8320 Limonite Ave., this restaurant continues to be one of the City's most popular dining options. Originally founded in San Bernardino, Tommy & Eleana Kazaltzes would eventually open their own restaurant in Jurupa Valley in October of 2013.
Tommy & Eleana continue to overcome business challenges while raising two small children. Eleana is currently raising a two and four year old, manages their restaurant's payroll and works on H.R. related issues. Tommy runs the day-to-day operations.

Register Your Business
All businesses must register with the City of Jurupa Valley to obtain a Business Registration Certificate. Registering your business ensures your business is operating in the proper zone and is a permitted use. Businesses must also renew their business registration on an annual basis to remain compliant with the City of Jurupa Valley Municipal Code.
Businesses that are not physically located within the City limits may also be required to obtain a City of Jurupa Valley Business Registration Certificate if they are working within the City.

Jurupa Road Grade Separation Project
The Jurupa Road Grade Separation Project will create a four-lane underpass on Jurupa Road under Van Buren Blvd. Upon completion, this underpass will significantly improve safety and traffic circulation for its users.

Available Industrial Space
 Welcome to the newly built Space Center, Building 2, located at 3412 Manitou Court. This state of the art building is just over 560,000 SF and is available for immediate occupancy. This building is strategically located near within 3 miles of the 60, 10, and 15 freeways and 6 miles from Ontario Airport. In addition, this building features 79 exterior dock doors, 382 parking spaces, cross docks and 100 trailer parking spaces.

The Accion Opportunity Fund offers loans, educational resources and support networks in English and Spanish. They are a non-profit organization that provides personalized support to small business owners of all races and backgrounds.

The Riverside County Office of Economic Development and Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center is providing up to $5,000 for businesses located in Riverside County. All existing businesses and new businesses that started on or after July 1, 2022 are eligible to apply.
