Irvine Global Village Festival is Sept. 22 at the Great Park 

The City of Irvine's premier multicultural event is coming to the Orange County Great Park for the first time! The 17th annual Irvine Global Village Festival is Saturday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. This year's event at the Great Park is sure to be better than ever, with more space for visitors and on-site parking.

Enjoy cultural performances, international cuisine, kids' activities, religious exhibits, and a global marketplace. A variety of sample-sized servings of food will be available for purchase, with prices ranging from $2 to $5; please bring cash.

'Play Ball' at the Great Park

Join friends and family on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Play Ball, a free event to officially open the new baseball stadium at the Orange County Great Park Sports Complex. 

The event, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., will include a first-pitch ceremony; baseball activity stations for children; food for purchase; refreshments; special guests; and, beginning at 7:15 p.m., a free movie, the classic The Rookie starring Dennis Quaid.
