CalHFA ADU Grant Program Update

All CalHFA ADU Grant funds for the application window that opened on December 11, 2023 have been exhausted and the reservation portal is now closed. Please sign up for our Enews to receive future updates for this program.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the program. This program has added additional housing units in California, created income opportunities for low- and moderate-income homeowners and worked in conjunction with the lending community to provide additional ADU financing options, expanded underwriting guidelines and escrow management services.

The funding source for the ADU Grant Program is completely separate from other CalHFA programs. CalHFA’s other programs are not affected by this bulletin.
