Love Your Bike – Lock It Every Time 🚲
During his most recent update to the Council, Chief Paul LeBaron shared encouraging news about our efforts to reduce and prosecute bike thefts. Bike thefts are down 81% since January. But the easiest way to prevent bike theft is to lock your bike securely every single time.
This means securing your bike frame to an immovable object using a sturdy U-Lock, using thick cable locks to tie down your bike seat and quick-release wheels, and storing your bike indoors whenever possible. Streetsblog LA recently published this helpful blog post on how to lock your bike securely..
