Holiday Fire Update - 7/7/18, 5 p.m.

Great news!  The Holiday Fire is at 80% containment.  Evacuation orders will be reduced significantly (as of 5 p.m.)  The press release on the changes can be found here: http://www.countyofsb.org/asset.c/4344.

For those still under an evacuation order, the evacuation center at the Goleta Valley Community Center (5679 Hollister Avenue, Goleta CA 93117) will remain open. Large animals can be taken to Earl Warren Showgrounds. Small animals can be taken to the SB County Animal Shelter (5473 Overpass Road, Goleta, CA 93117) and the Humane Society (5399 Overpass Road).

In case you missed it, Mayor Paula Perotte shared the following quote earlier today: "Safety is our paramount concern right now and we urge all residents to remain vigilant.  Please respect all evacuation orders for your own safety and well being.  As the temperature rises today, stay cool and hydrated and take care of yourself and your pets."

The City will not be providing further updates on this incident unless the situation changes significantly. As always we are happy to provide incident information.
