APRIL 2018 ISSUE

We hope to see you at our Second Annual Community State of the City on April 10! Attendees will get the latest information on what is happening in Goleta and have the chance to ask questions.

We want to thank everyone who took the time to attend a workshop or complete a survey that we offered in March. Almost 300 people took our Hollister Complete Streets survey and more than 220 people took the survey about parking in Old Town. Our next community workshop is April 4 on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. Your feedback is important to us, please continue providing input.

Keep up to date on topics important to you in the City of Goleta. Subscribe today to receive email and/or text notifications on any of our 40+ topics, including Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects, Public Works Updates and Emergency Notifications at http://tinyurl.com/goletasubscriptions.

Thank you for taking the time to peruse the Monarch Press. You can find all of the articles (and previous issues) here.  Please click here to send us your feedback.

Deltopia Parking Restrictions Reminder

Halloween Map

Deltopia, the unsanctioned Isla Vista street party, is planned for April 7, 2018. Leash Your Dog – It’s the Law

The City is aware that residents have very strong feelings about the topic of dogs on and off leash. We would like to remind everyone that as part of our Goleta Municipal Code (section 12.15.470), dogs are required to be on a leash and under their owners control at all times while in a public space unless otherwise posted. This includes the Ellwood Bluffs. Off-leash dogs can cause harm to people, other animals and property. Citations will be issued to dog owners who choose not to follow the law. Read more...
