Ellwood Mesa Habitat Project -- Trail Closures Now in Place

Trails running through the Ellwood Mesa forest are now closed and temporary signage has been posted.  Several trails on the perimeter of the Mesa which provide access to the beach,remain open.  A map of the closures can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/goletaellwoodmesa.  Please remember these trails are closed for public safety reasons.  More information and FAQs can be found on our webpage here:

A community meeting on the Ellwood Mesa Habitat Project and more specifically -- the tree health and trail closures will be held on Wednesday, July 26, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Goleta City Council Chambers, 130 Cremona Drive, Suite B.  The City’s consulting biologist and arborist as well as City staff will provide a presentation followed by an opportunity for community members to ask questions.
