La Crescenta Avenue Rehabilitation Project Nears Final Completion
The La Crescenta Avenue Rehabilitation Project has completed full corridor paving ahead of schedule, with work finished on April 30, 2026. Final project activities will continue through May, beginning with traffic signal modifications the week of May 4.

“Underwater Bottleneck” by Elizabeth Criss and Sari Scheer
Underwater Bottleneck by Elizabeth Criss and Sari Scheer transforms the Adams Square Gas Station into a deep-sea scene. Schools of fish made from discarded plastics and repurposed wine bottles float overhead, while jellyfish hover above a glowing mound of empty jugs—highlighting both the resilience and fragility of ocean life.
Glass-bottle fish filled with plastic debris illustrate the risks marine life faces when mistaking waste for food. This creative installation encourages visitors to reflect on everyday choices and consider solutions to reduce plastic pollution.

Spring Cleaning Means Donations!
As spring cleaning begins, residents are encouraged to donate gently used items and give them a second life. Many items can be shared through local donation centers, including:
- Clothing, shoes, and accessories
- Furniture and small appliances
- Books, toys, and kitchenware
Even items that are no longer suitable for donation can still serve a purpose. Many local animal shelters accept towels, blankets, and linens to support the care of animals in need.
Before placing items at the curb, consider donation and reuse options first. If disposal is necessary, schedule a bulky item pickup rather than leaving items out. Choosing to donate whenever possible helps reduce waste, conserve resources, and support others in the community.
