Neighborhood Ecology Opens at Brand Library & Art Center
To love Southern California is to love its vibrancy, diversity, and the dynamic communities found within its storied neighborhoods. Neighborhood Ecology brings together local artists whose work captures the many facets of Southern California life — how the region is viewed by non-locals, how it is experienced by its residents, and how each community celebrates its identity.
In addition to the featured professional artists, young artists from all five Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) high schools will present artwork exploring their own neighborhoods. This marks the library’s third collaborative partnership with GUSD, highlighting and nurturing the talent of exceptional local students.
Neighborhood Ecology is open during regular Brand Library hours from January 31 through May 9, 2026, as part of the 2026 Hyper SoCal initiative, which celebrates nonprofit and municipal art venues supporting working artists across Southern California.
