This marketplace will be run entirely by kids ages 5-17 years old and allows children to gain real-world experience in creating goods, packaging them for sale, attracting customers, and handling money!

 Art Exhibit: Dream Stop by Delight Art Foundation
Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station 1020 E. Palmer Ave., Glendale, CA 91205 through July 25, 2025
Visit the Delight Art Foundation’s installation, Dream Stop, on display at the Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station through July 25, 2025. Dream Stop showcases children’s artwork and calls on people to stop and take time to dream. Self-portraits on boxes express the multiple sides of an artist's identity and multimedia heart creations reveal their dearest passions. Hanging from the ceiling, paper planes hold business cards that illustrate what kids would do in a world without adults. The young artists featured in this installation all share a love for visual storytelling as each artistic interpretation of a dream consists of dynamic interests and distinct values.
This temporary art installation is sponsored by the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission with funding from the Urban Art Program, and support from Glendale Library, Arts & Culture, Glendale Community Services & Parks, and the Adams Hill Neighborhood Association.

Wilderness Workday

Help us water our bigcone spruce and coast live oaks, assist with trail repairs, and remove invasive plants from the park. Please wear sturdy shoes, protective clothing, and bring water. Families, individuals, clubs, and students needing community service hours are welcome. In case of rain, this event will be cancelled. RSVP required.
Riverwalk Workdays Taking a Summer Break
As we head into the hottest months of the year, we want to prioritize the safety and well-being of our volunteers. With that in mind, we’ve decided to pause Riverwalk Workdays during July and August due to the extreme heat that is typically expected during this time.
There will be no Riverwalk Workday in July, and we’ll remain on break through August.
Riverwalk Workdays will return in September, when the weather begins to cool down and we can safely resume our efforts along the river.

The Night Sky Rises

Join us for an unforgettable evening of stargazing as the Perseid Meteor Shower lights up the sky. The illumination of the moon is less than 4% on this night – perfect for stargazing! Please bring your blankets, chairs, and dress in layers. Parking is limited. RSVP required.
Join the Trail Safety Patrol
As a Trail Safety Patrol (TSP) volunteer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing public safety and protecting resources across the city's parks. Your presence and assistance will help improve visitors' experience while ensuring a safe environment. The TSP consists of two units: the Mountain Bike Unit and the Hike Unit.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Complete a background check and City-mandated trail safety training
- Attend a First Aid/CPR certification course
- Be in good physical health
- Commit to a minimum of two hours per month

Explore a new nature theme each month with a free outdoor adventure! Enjoy an interpretive hike, nature craft, and a tour of the Stone Barn Nature Center.
Free bus transportation from Pacific Park Community Center (departs 8:30 AM, returns 12:30 PM), with water and snacks provided. You're encouraged to ride the bus, but may also meet us at the park. Bus funding is generously provided by Metro.

 Glendale Expands Free Public Wi-Fi to Griffith Manor and Pacific Parks
The City of Glendale is continuing its efforts to bridge the digital divide and enhance community access to technology. As part of the Citywide Wi-Fi Expansion Project, free public Wi-Fi is now available at Griffith Manor Park and Pacific Park, bringing greater connectivity to even more residents and visitors.
This latest expansion ensures that community members can stay connected while enjoying two of Glendale’s well-loved outdoor spaces. Whether checking email, accessing public resources, or simply browsing the internet, parkgoers now have the convenience of reliable internet access right at their fingertips.
By extending free Wi-Fi to additional parks, the City reaffirms its commitment to digital equity, accessibility, and modern infrastructure. Glendale continues to invest in innovative solutions that promote inclusion, convenience, and quality of life for all who live in and visit the city.

Representatives from the Glendale Police Department, Glendale Fire Department, Community Services & Parks Department, along with Glendale City Councilmembers and City Officials, will be on hand to listen, engage, and work alongside residents to promote community well-being and public safety.

LA Regional Food Bank

Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) is Accepting Applications

 The Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) offers paid work experience opportunities for youth ages 14 to 24, empowering young individuals to gain valuable job skills and career exposure. GYA is especially committed to supporting youth who face barriers to employment, including foster youth, individuals with disabilities, those experiencing homelessness, parenting youth, and youth on probation.
Eligible participants are enrolled into the program, matched with paid job placements across diverse industries, and provided with comprehensive case management and mentorship.

The Summer Youth Employment Program offers pre-employment training and up to 160 hours of paid work experience to youth ages 14-24 during summer months.
The STEP program provides 120 hours of paid work experience to in-school youth ages 16 to 21 that have a disability and/or health condition. Youth also receive work readiness training through Glendale Community Colleges’ Professional Development Center and gain experience at a worksite based on their skills, aptitudes and interests.
Glendale Youth Alliance offers incentive for employers who are willing to host youth at their site, train, mentor and offer an opportunity for employment. Grant funds cover youth worker wages and workers compensation for the initial 120-200 hours (depending on the program).

 Make Your Reservations for Indoor and Outdoor Parks Facilities
You can view availability of most facilities and book picnic and community building reservations online! Please visit MyGlendaleParks.com to book your picnic or community building reservation online and hold your preferred facility/date for a nonrefundable deposit of $50.00. Once held, a customer service representative will reach out to process your full payment and confirm the reservation. The deposit will be applied towards your rental fees at the time of confirmation.
We take reservations for rental of community center spaces, the Civic Auditorium, community buildings within parks, picnic areas, and wedding venues. Jumpers/Bouncers are allowed with a jumper permit and facility permit. We look forward to serving you and meeting your rental needs!
