La Crescenta Avenue Enhancements Continue
 The La Crescenta Avenue Rehabilitation Project aims to enhance roadway conditions, improve traffic safety, and boost pedestrian accessibility throughout the corridor.
Key features of the project include:

Infrastructure Upgrades: Resurfacing roadways, installing new larger sewer lines and bio-retention facilities, planting new street trees, and modernizing traffic signals to improve pedestrian and commuter experience and safety.

Roadway Improvements: Removal of one travel lane in each direction to accommodate a center two-way left-turn lane and dedicated bicycle lanes.

Enhanced Pedestrian Amenities: Upgrading sidewalks, installing ADA-compliant curb ramps, realigning intersections, and adding new signalized pedestrian crossing with creative crosswalk designs for improved visibility and safety.

Annual Armenian Genocide Commemoration Event
City of Glendale honors the memory of the 1.5 million+ victims of the Armenian Genocide and reaffirms Glendale’s enduring commitment to remembrance, justice, and cultural resilience.
As part of this ongoing commitment, this year’s program will feature moving performances by Joel Martin’s Jazzical Komitas, the Haikian Chamber Choir, the Lernazang Ensemble, and Poet Laureate Raffi Joe Wartanian offering a powerful tribute through music and reflection. Opulent Mobility Opens at Brand Library & Art Center
Brand Library & Art Center is proud to present Opulent Mobility, curated by founder A. Laura Brody and Anthony Tusler in collaboration with students from Glendale Unified School District (GUSD). Founded in 2015, Opulent Mobility has been hosting annual open calls for artworks which tell stories that humanize, uplift, and celebrate disabled artists and disability art.
The exhibition will feature Southern California-based artists and high school students from GUSD with artworks in a variety of media including sculpture, painting, video, audio and fiber. Opulent Mobility will be on view April 26 – June 21, 2025.
