A Message from the City Manager, Roubik Golanian
As we reflect on the recent challenges brought by the wildfire emergency, I want to take a moment to recognize the extraordinary efforts of Glendale's first responders and staff and express my deepest gratitude to our resilient community. Your kindness, generosity, and unity represent the strength of Glendale.
As we move forward in the new month, let's take this time to honor Black History Month, the remarkable contributions of Black leaders, visionaries, and changemakers who have shaped our nation and continue to inspire progress.
Looking ahead, there are plenty of opportunities to stay involved and engaged throughout the city. Join us in making a difference by participating in the upcoming Homeless Count, exciting events like Teen Night Out and Parent’s Night Out, and by taking advantage of free informative webinars.
I encourage everyone to stay informed during emergencies by signing up for notifications through our Emergency Alert System (Everbridge) and following us on social media at @MyGlendale. You can also find the latest updates on GlendaleCA.gov. Staying connected is vital for your safety and the well-being of our community.

City Departments Collaborate to Address Damage
The extreme wind event that struck during the week of January 7th caused significant damage across the City. In response, city departments worked together to address the aftermath and ensure the safety of residents.
With numerous requests to clear roads and neighborhoods, Public Works and Glendale Water and Power crews worked around the clock. Fire crews and Fire Prevention inspectors joined the efforts to assess and mitigate potential hazards.
Significant restoration progress has been made throughout the city, however, there's still more that needs to be done. Public Works crews are systematically working block-by-block to clear fallen limbs, brush, and other debris from streets. If you have an urgent request, contact Maintenance Services at (818) 548-3950.
The collaborative effort highlights the City's commitment to responding effectively to emergencies and supporting residents in times of need.
Enroll in Everbridge Emergency Notifications
Stay informed and prepared by enrolling in the City of Glendale’s Emergency Alert System (Everbridge), which enables us to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.
Recent evacuations in Chevy Chase Canyon and Glenoaks Canyon have highlighted the importance of timely updates during emergencies. Enroll now to receive critical alerts and keep your family safe.
