Goats Clear Brush🐐
They’re back! For the fourth year, the Glendale Fire Department hired goats and sheep to graze on dry vegetation to reduce potential fire fuel. Beginning June 26th, the herd of 300 grazed in an area off Linda Vista and Figueroa, then moved to city parcels off Glenoaks. In all, about 30 acres were cleared by the hardworking goats and sheep. Thanks to Ventura Brush Goats for working with the GFD’s Fire Prevention Bureau to strategically identify city-owned land in the High and Very High Fire Hazard Zones.
