A Message from the City Manager, Roubik Golanian
Goodbye winter chill and hello spring sunshine! I know I'm not the only one eager to get my hands dirty working in the garden and prepare for the upcoming season, right?
As the vibrant signs of spring begin to appear, I am happy to welcome you to a season filled with exciting events and opportunities to connect within the community.
Additionally, March is a jam packed month when it comes to important days, like March 1st, which is employee appreciation day. I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of the City of Glendale staff members for their dedication and commitment to serving our community with pride. Their tireless efforts and passion make a profound impact on the lives of our residents, shaping Glendale into a place we can all be proud to call home.
March 8th, which is International Women's Day, is another important date to celebrate in March. This day is dedicated to honoring the wide array of achievements of women worldwide. Join me in celebrating their strength, leadership, and ongoing contributions to shaping a more equitable and inclusive society.
In this edition of the Glendale City Connection, you'll be reminded of important dates like the election, or that you can get up to three free shade trees through GWP's Tree Power program. As a reminder, you can stay informed through my weekly reports, which I have made available as a resource to the community to remain up to date on the latest council actions and community news, directly from me.
With that said, I hope you enjoy reading about all we have to offer, and wish you all a happy spring!
