A Message from the City Manager, Roubik Golanian I would like to start off by wishing you all a Happy New Year and I hope you had a memorable holiday season. Here at City Hall, we embraced the holiday joy and spread cheer by gathering goods for a sheltered mother and son through YWCA's adopt-a-family initiative, serving lunch to seniors at the Sparr Heights Community Center, and hosting numerous toy drives. We're continuing to give back to our community, and plan to prepare and serve lunch to Asencia's clients early next month!
Let's kick off 2024 by welcoming the opportunities that lie ahead for the Jewel City. This year, we are committed to continuing to make infrastructure upgrades, holding popular events we all love, such as our signature Cruise Night, and engaging the community on various initiatives.
In 2024, I encourage you to get involved in our City Council meetings. If you cannot attend, meetings are always available on our YouTube account. You can also learn about items on Council’s agenda by checking out the Public Meetings Portal or by signing up for agenda notifications.
With the upcoming municipal election on March 5th, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of our city and elect two individuals who will represent you on City Council for four years. So, get ready to cast your vote, and let your voice be heard!
This is your city, and your input matters so we hope you take every opportunity to get involved, whether it's serving on a board or commission, or joining a volunteer opportunity. Thank you for being an active member of our community. Here's to making 2024 the best one yet!
