Mr. Grayson visits Grayson Power Plant ahead of demolition
|
|
Since the Grayson Power Plant is in the process of being decommissioned to make room for the new Grayson Energy Center, GWP General Manager Mark Young invited Mr. Lauren Grayson’s family, who was the Power Plant’s first Chief Engineer and General Manager, to get a private tour before the plant’s doors officially close. This nostalgic trip down memory lane for Mr. Grayson’s children and grandchildren was something Mark felt was important for them to see, as the Grayson Power Plant has been serving Glendale since 1941 and is a big part of Glendale’s history.
