Mark your calendars! Spookishly Fun Movie Night returns to Veterans Field on Friday, October 24 for an evening filled with Halloween fun for the whole family. The night begins with trick-or-treating around the field at 5:45 PM, followed by a showing of Disney’s beloved film Coco at dusk. Families are encouraged to come in costume, bring blankets and chairs, and enjoy candy, games, and a festive evening under the stars.
We’re also calling on local businesses to be part of the celebration! Businesses are invited to host a booth with games and a trick-or-treat station from 5:30 PM to dusk, helping us create a safe, fun, and memorable night for the community. This is not only a great opportunity to connect with local families but also to showcase your business in a lively and well-attended community event.
Space is limited—reserve your booth today! Contact the Special Events Division at (209) 366-7115 for details.

The City of Galt was honored to welcome Congresswoman Doris Matsui on Tuesday, August 26.
Congresswoman Matsui met with Mayor Shawn Farmer at Walker Park to discuss the upcoming Walker Park Phase IIA Expansion, made possible through her efforts in securing over $3 million in federal funding for our community.
This project will bring:
- 3 new youth baseball/softball fields
- New restroom & concessions
- Batting cages
- Expanded parking
This investment showcases the power of collaboration across all levels of government to deliver meaningful quality-of-life improvements for Galt residents.
Following her visit to Walker Park, Congresswoman Matsui stopped by the Galt Market to shop for fresh produce and connect with local vendors. She was joined for a stroll at the Market by Mayor Farmer, Councilwoman Bonnie Rodriguez and Parks and Recreation Director Armando Solis. The Congresswoman then joined the community in honoring the memory of fallen Galt Police Officer Harminder Grewal during the 4th anniversary ceremony of his passing.
We sincerely thank Congresswoman Matsui for her continued support and commitment to Galt.
The Kiwanis Club of Galt invites the community to their Annual Dog Park Event at Monterey Park on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This family-friendly celebration is packed with fun activities for dogs and their humans alike. Attendees can enjoy K9 demonstrations, contests with prizes, a photo booth, adoptions, vendor booths, and giveaways throughout the morning.
Vendors interested in participating can reserve a spot by emailing galtbarkpark@gmail.com
