The Saturday Market is back and starting off the season in festive style with the Shamrock Stroll & Shop on Saturday, March 1st! Join us at the 4th Street Promenade from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a lively day of family-friendly fun, shopping, and entertainment.

The City of Galt is now hiring lifeguards, offering a competitive starting pay of $18.80 per hour. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team while benefiting from attractive perks. In addition to a competitive salary, lifeguards can maximize their earnings with the following bonuses:

Retention Bonuses: Earn $100 for every 100 hours worked, up to a maximum of $300. Eligible hours worked from February through September 2025.

Free Training Courses: The City will cover the cost of Lifeguard and CPR certification courses, a $200 value.

Referral Bonus: Receive $100 for referring a friend or candidate who is hired.

The Galt Gators Recreational Swim Team is hosting Swim Clinics this season to help both new and returning swimmers sharpen their skills. Each clinic will focus on basic swimming techniques, providing an opportunity for new swimmers to experience what it’s like to be a Galt Gator, while returning swimmers can refine their strokes, dives, and turns.
These clinics are an excellent way to prepare for the upcoming swim team season. If your child is ready to join the Galt Gators, come and see how they can improve!
The clinics will take place on Saturdays—March 8, 15, 22, and 29—at the Gora Aquatic Center. The schedule is as follows:
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Returning Swimmers (9+ years)
- 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM: New Swimmers (9+ years)
- 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Returning & New Swimmers (5–8 years)
The fee for the full four-class clinic is $78. Class sizes are limited, so be sure to register early and secure your spot.

The last day to register for Youth T-Ball without a late fee is February 17
This exciting program is open to boys and girls ages 4 and 5. The eight-week season kicks off on April 5, with games scheduled Monday through Saturday. Registration is $75 per player. Late registration begins February 18 and includes a $25 late fee.

Join the upcoming virtual meeting for Sacramento County
Caltrans is preparing the State Route 99 Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP), a long-range planning document, with the goal of achieving a more balanced transportation system that addresses community and environmental impacts. It will identify and prioritize potential improvements that address all types of transportation along the corridor and align them with regional, state, and federal funding programs.
