Final Hearing Approaches: Galt’s Potential Predator Placement
The Sacramento District Attorney’s Office is providing the opportunity to voice concerns and objections regarding the potential release of a sexually violent predator in our community.
The Department of State Hospitals, in collaboration with the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office, Sacramento Sheriff’s Office, and County Counsel, has been actively searching for a suitable housing placement over the past six months. The final recommendation by the Department of State Hospitals and its partner, Liberty Healthcare, is 12655 Hauschildt Rd, Galt, CA 95632 in the Galt area of Sacramento County.
The final hearing on the placement decision is scheduled for 9:00 am on January 31, 2025. Those who wish to submit their letters of opposition must send them to the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office by 5:00 pm on January 29, 2025. Submissions can be emailed to SVPDryden@sacda.org.
Please note that the District Attorney’s Office is committed to ensuring public safety, and it is important that all letters of opposition focus on factual information or observations. Comments that contain harassing, derogatory, or threatening language will not be accepted or submitted to the court.

Presentations, exhibits, and activities will take place at McCaffrey Middle School, Cosumnes River Preserve, Marion O. Lawrence Library, Staten Island, Cal-Waste Headquarters, and Stone Lakes.
