The City of Galt is committed to decreasing the number of single use plastic bottles in the waste stream.
Thanks to State grants, our Public Works Department has installed 13 water bottle refill stations over the last few years in our city parks and buildings.
We will install 20 more fountains in our parks and community centers with new grant funding in 2024! These will replace existing water fountains and help make drinking water available.
Look for these new water bottle refill stations at local parks and city buildings, and please help keep plastic out of landfills by bringing your reusable water bottles to fill!

We are delighted to share a significant development in our community!
The Liberty Ranch project is underway! Approved by the Galt City Council in 2016, this visionary endeavor is set to redefine the living experience for Galt residents.
This project is a master-planned community of 1,500 units that goes beyond mere housing, featuring parks, trails, and various amenities.
Infrastructure at the work site commenced in June 2023, and we anticipate housing construction to begin later this year.
Stay tuned for updates as we embark on this exciting journey!
