More Euclid Street Rehabilitation Planned for Phase 2
The City of Fullerton Public Works Staff took this photo at the Hiltscher Trail Crossing on Euclid Street. The following are some facts about the Euclid Street paving project:
- The project will include paving rehabilitation and sidewalk improvements.
- Improvements will continue from the recently completed Euclid Street Phase 1 project at Fern Drive and extend to Bastanchury Road.
- The City is currently out to bid with construction anticipated in April.
- Street improvements are funded with the City allocation of SB1 tax funds.

Love is in the Air at Fullerton Public Library with Mystery Date with a Book
On the tails of the Fullerton Public Library's Adult Winter Reading Club, library love is definitely in the air! Throughout February, you're invited to come find your "match" through a Mystery Date with a Book. Check out a wrapped book from our lobby display, "Rate your Date," with our special review slips, and return your ratings to the library by March 5 for a chance to win a special prize (as if a date with one of these "available" books weren't special enough). Join the Family - Fullerton Police Department is Hiring
The Fullerton Police Department is hiring Police Cadets. This program is geared toward young men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 looking to be police officers. Please pass along to anyone you know who is interested in law enforcement. Cadets perform a variety of routine and progressively more difficult non-sworn tasks in an apprenticeship program framework for preparing for a career in law enforcement. They are rotated through various divisions of the Police Department to perform related work as required. This is a paid part-time position.

Clean California Local Grant Program (CCLGP)
Staff submitted a grant application on February 1st to improve historic infrastructure and clean city rights-of-way. The grant has $296 million of funding that will be spread throughout the entire state. Funding is intended for beautification, waste disposal, public space improvements, and advancement of equity for underserved communities.
Fullerton used this grant opportunity to request funding for two separate infrastructure projects and improve the City's litter abatement capacity focusing on the Downtown and southern sections of the City. Staff submitted two infrastructure projects which will beautify the Hunt Branch Library and the courtyard at the Fullerton Police Department.

County of Orange Awarded Over $3 Million to Support Underserved Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19
SANTA ANA, Calif. (February 7, 2022) – Awarded by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA), the Orange County Workforce Development Board (OCWDB) has received $3,975,481 in California Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant Program funding to support underserved microbusinesses and entrepreneurs impacted by COVID-19.
To be eligible, microbusinesses must meet the following requirements:
- The microbusiness began its operation prior to December 31, 2019.
- The microbusiness is currently active and operating or has a clear plan to reopen when the state permits reopening of the business.
- The microbusiness was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The microbusiness had less than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) in gross revenues in the 2019 taxable year.
- The microbusiness currently has fewer than five full-time equivalent employees and had fewer than five full-time equivalent employees in the 2019 and 2020 taxable years.
- The microbusiness is not a business excluded from participation in the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program, as specified in paragraph (2) of subdivision (f) of Section 12100.82.
Microbusiness owners can apply for grants beginning February 14, 2022. Applicants must submit their application online via www.oconestop.com/grant-relief-programs. Call the Orange County Business and Economic Recovery Call Center at (714) 480-6500.

Senior Tax Program
The volunteer income tax assistance program will be available for adults 60 years of age or older with moderate incomes. This event has been made possible through a partnership with AARP.
