Fullerton Fire Department Assists in Bootleg Fire
On July 10th, the Fullerton Fire Department deployed an OES Type III engine as part of a strike team to help fight the Bootleg Fire in Klamath County, Oregon.
The Engine crew consisted of Captain McConnell, Engineer Thomesac/Engineer Lee, Firefighter Lowry and Firefighter Roehl. After 13 days away from home, our crew arrived back in Fullerton on July 23rd.
A “Strike Team” is a group of resources of the same kind and type with common communications and a leader. In this instance, the strike team consisted of 5 Type 3 OES Brush Engines and a Battalion Chief that is qualified as a Strike Team Leader. These Strike Teams are sent to an incident from agencies throughout the state as to not cause resource shortages in any one area at a time.
As part of our commitment to receiving a Type 3 Brush Engine from Cal OES, we are required to fulfill our obligation to assist our neighbors in their time of need. When our resources are assigned to an incident, their commitment can be from 14 to 21 days in length.

We Need Your Input - ADA Survey
The City of Fullerton is in the process of updating its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-evaluation and Transition Plan. As part of this process, the City is asking for your input by completing this questionnaire which addresses accessibility of programs, services, and activities offered to the public.
The purpose of this survey is to gather information on how City department and division programs or services are, or are not, accessible to persons with disabilities. The goal is that when each program, service or activity is viewed in its entirety, it is readily accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities
