Join the City of Fremont on Friday, August 28, for a free outdoor movie featuring Hoppers (rated PG), presented by CEFCU, Echo Church, Fremont Bank, Orangetheory, and Washington Health.
Kick off the series with a playful night of laughs, adventure, and big-screen fun under the stars. The event is free and open to everyone, with closed captions available. Come early, find the perfect spot, and enjoy a fun night at Central Park!
The Launch Snack Bar, located by the Lions Picnic Area, will also be open leading up to the start of the movie so make sure to stop by for snacks, beverages, treats, and more.
Our creeks are calling! Registration is now open for Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 19. Join us from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at various cleanup sites across Fremont as we work together to protect our creeks and waterways and keep them free of litter and debris. Be sure to register early, as spaces are filling up quickly. By reducing waste and protecting our natural resources, we can make a real difference!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 3, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and bring your family to the City of Fremont Public Safety Fair! Hosted by the Fremont Police and Fire Departments, this free event is designed for all ages and offers a unique opportunity to learn about public safety services, crime prevention, and traffic safety. Explore police vehicles, meet K-9s, and enjoy interactive exhibits like the Bike Rodeo for kids. There will be food trucks, giveaways, and a chance to connect with command staff and City partners. The fair takes place in the large parking lot (2100 Stevenson Blvd.) between the Police Department and Fremont Main Library. Parking is free and plentiful. Don’t miss this fun, informative day!

On Sunday, August 30, from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, the Historic Niles District in Fremont will come alive with the charm and excitement of the annual Niles Antique Faire and Flea Market. Hosted by the Niles Main Street Association at Niles Town Plaza (37482 Niles Blvd.), this cherished community tradition brings together treasure hunters, collectors, and families for a full day of fun. Admission is free
The event will feature hundreds of vendors offering antiques, collectibles, art, crafts, home and garden décor, toys, food, etc. In addition to the outdoor market, visitors can enjoy exploring Niles’ unique shops, welcoming cafes, and local art galleries that add to the district’s historic charm.

Fremont Street Eats continues every Friday in Downtown Fremont through October 23. The weekly food truck series offers a rotating lineup of food trucks, new drink selections, local vendors, and community fun.

There is still time to enjoy summer fun at Lake Elizabeth! Pedal Boat rentals and The Launch Snack Bar are now operating on weekends only from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm through Labor Day weekend.
Stop by for a snack or treat from The Launch Snack Bar, then head out on the water for a pedal boat ride and make the most of the final weekends of summer at Central Park!
To help maintain and improve Fremont’s playgrounds, select locations will temporarily close on scheduled dates between August and October for repair work.
Playground maintenance will vary by location and may include patching, surface repairs, seal coating, and, at select locations, complete resurfacing. Affected areas will remain closed to the public until repairs are finished and it is safe to reopen.

Discover a fun and welcoming place for your little one to learn, play, and grow! Fremont’s Tiny Tots Preschool Program is hosting an Open House on Wednesday, August 26, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Centerville, Irvington, and Los Cerritos Community Centers.
Families with children ages 3 to 5 can stop by to explore the classrooms, meet the teachers, and get a closer look at the play-based learning experiences offered through the program. Tiny Tots helps children build confidence, make new friends, develop important social skills, and prepare for the transition to school in a supportive and engaging environment.
Enrollment is now open for the Early Fall session beginning September 2. Join us at the Open House and discover all that Tiny Tots has to offer!
