This family-friendly event will feature performances, resource tables, creative activities, food trucks, and opportunities to engage with local organizations. Whether you’re stopping by to enjoy the entertainment, explore helpful community resources, or simply celebrate with neighbors, the Pride Fair offers something for everyone.
The event is free, open to all, and a great way to support and uplift our diverse Fremont community.

City Council Adopts Fiscal Year 2026/27 Operating Budget
At the June 9, 2026, City Council Meeting, the Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2026/27 Operating Budget.
The budget was presented to the Council at its regularly scheduled Council Meeting on May 12, 2026, with public hearings held by Council on June 2 and June 9. Don't miss out on Fremont’s annual State of the City Address taking place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Downtown Event Center, 3500 Capitol Ave.
Fremont Mayor Raj Salwan will cover the issues and opportunities facing the City of Fremont. The event is free and open to the public (no ticket required).
Summer is here and individuals experiencing homelessness face heightened risks from extreme heat. To support our most vulnerable neighbors, the City of Fremont is continuing its partnership with Bay Area Community Services (BACS) and inviting the community to donate new warm‑weather essentials.
Donations will be distributed through the City’s Homeless Services programs, including the Housing Resource Center and Safe Parking Program, and shared with BACS to ensure items reach those who need them most—quickly and safely. All items must be brand new, with tags or in original packaging.
Most‑needed items include:
- Bottled water
- SPF and moisture‑wicking clothing
- Cooling towels
- Hats
- Sunscreen
You can drop off donated items in person or order directly from our online wish list to have them shipped to the City for immediate distribution.
Thank you for your generosity and commitment to supporting our community. Regardless of size, every donation helps keep our neighbors safe and healthy throughout the summer.
Construction of this $11.5 million grant-funded project along portions of Thornton Avenue, Fremont Boulevard, and Peralta Boulevard in the Centerville area (former State Route 84) is heading into the final months, with completion scheduled for the end of August. Major construction milestones remaining include completion of improvements at the Fremont Boulevard and Thornton Avenue intersection, traffic signal improvements along Thornton Avenue, installation of flashing beacons on Fremont Boulevard, and repaving and striping on Thornton Avenue, Fremont Boulevard, and Peralta Boulevard.

Summer concert season is kicking off across Fremont, giving residents and visitors plenty of opportunities to enjoy free live music and warm evenings outdoors.
The first concert of the season takes place tomorrow, June 13, as the Niles Summer Concert's on the Plaza returns to Historic Niles hosted by the Niles Main Street Association. Their concert series takes place on the second Saturday of each month through October.
Later this month, the City of Fremont’s Summer Concert Series begins June 25 at Central Park and will take place weekly on Thursday evenings through July.
Lastly, the Pacific Commons Summer Concert Series begins on June 26 at The Block Plaza, and takes place nearly every Friday through September!
Grab a lawn chair, bring some friends, and enjoy live music all summer long!

The City of Fremont is proud to present Matrix: A Printmaking Exhibition, featuring printmaking works alongside their matrices, the surfaces used to create and transfer images onto paper or other materials. This unique exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to explore the creative process behind printmaking while experiencing a diverse collection of works celebrating artistic expression, technique, and craftsmanship.
Please join us for the opening reception on Friday, June 26, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and enjoy an evening of art, and conversation with exhibiting artists. Admission is free and all are welcome. The Olive Hyde Art Gallery is located at 123 Washington Boulevard.
