The City is excited to partner once again with Bay Area SunShares to help our residents go solar. The program, which runs from September 15 to November 15, 2025, offers exclusive discounts on home solar and battery storage systems from pre-vetted installers.
A new solar and battery system can give your home a reliable source of power while helping our community accelerate clean energy adoption and become more climate-ready.
If you’re interested in going solar, we encourage you to explore the SunShares program and its exclusive discounts.
As a reminder, the federal solar tax credit is set to expire on December 31 and to qualify, your solar system must be installed and interconnected by PG&E before the end of the year. With that deadline approaching, it’s beneficial to explore other available discounts, like SunShares.
Join a free Bay Area SunShares informational webinar to learn the basics of solar & battery storage, why switching to solar is advantageous, and get your questions answered by SunShare's pre-vetted installers.

Fun fact: Many residents don’t realize this pocket park exists—it’s tucked at the end of the cul-de-sac on Surry Place.
Plan a visit to Surry Park and discover one of Fremont’s best-kept secrets!
