Homelessness Response Plan Update: Community Workshops Scheduled for October
The City is developing a Homelessness Response Plan to engage the community and help guide our increased efforts in responding to homelessness in Fremont.
To help us engage with our community, we are pleased to announce two upcoming workshops in person. We are inviting community members to attend one of the workshops to talk with us about the new plan and provide input! We will present information and allow participants to engage in open discussions and share ideas. Your voice matters so don't miss this opportunity to actively contribute to Fremont's Homelessness Response Plan.
Each workshop has a maximum capacity of 50 participants, so register early. Please select a date below and access the link to find more information and register. Registration is required.
Community Workshop – Monday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m.
Community Workshop – Saturday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m.
If registration is full or you are not able to attend, there will be another opportunity for you to provide feedback. A community survey will be available soon. As soon as the survey becomes available, we will publish it on our MyFremont webpage. You can also sign up for our Homelessness Interest List to be notified by email or text message.

Fremont Police Department Wants to Hear From You: The Annual Community Survey is Now Live
Each year, the results of the Community Survey help the Police Department improve services and identify primary concerns our community members would like to address. The Fremont Police Department is looking forward to receiving input from the community to know how the Fremont Police can best serve you!

While the City prides itself on safety and emergency prevention, residents and visitors may be asked to evacuate in the event of an emergency. The city and law enforcement utilize several methods, including Wireless Emergency Alerts, to notify the public ahead of and during emergencies. Additionally, Fremont Police patrol vehicles are equipped with a Hi-Lo Audible Warning Sound to indicate that an evacuation is in progress. Stay informed about the latest emergency procedures and information, including how to prepare for an evacuation, by visiting http://city.fremont.gov/evacuation.

Adoptable Pets of the Week Seeking Forever Homes
The shelter has eleven smart, friendly, and affectionate puppies that are looking for loving homes to be adopted into. To welcome one of them into your family, you can apply online and the customer service team will review your application and contact you to set up an appointment at a time that works for you on a first-come, first-served basis. All adoptions from the Tri City Animal Shelter include vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgery.
The Fremont Police Department would like to remind the community there is an Exchange Zone for all to use in the front parking lot at the Fremont Police Department. We have designated parking spots for conducting private party transactions and safe custody exchanges. The Exchange Zone is video recorded 24 hours a day. The department’s recommendation for anybody exchanging goods is to do it during daytime hours, if possible, and meet at the Fremont Police Department.
