The environmental review process is now underway for a major project to improve the Mission Boulevard (State Route 262) connector between Interstate 680 and Interstate 880 in South Fremont. Some of the proposed improvements include either depressing or elevating the State Route 262 alignment to separate local and regional traffic. A community meeting was held on May 24, and now public input is being received through June 16 on environmental review topics that should be studied. Fremont Minimum Wage Increase to $16.80 on July 1, 2023
Starting July 1, 2023, the City of Fremont’s minimum wage will increase to $16.80 per hour. Employers are required to pay at least the minimum wage for all hours worked to hourly employees who perform work within the geographic boundaries of the City of Fremont. Employers are also required to post the official City of Fremont Wage Bulletin in the top five languages spoken in the city in a conspicuous place at each work site. The Official Bulletins, including translated versions, are available for download on the City’s Minimum Wage webpage. To avoid a reduction in the valuable services they provide to the community, the minimum wage ordinance exempts employees of non-profit corporations. For questions, please contact us by email.
Goose and Gator were found together in Fremont and we’d love to find a family to adopt both of them. They are gentle and get along with other dogs. Some of their interests include liking a simple life, movies, their people, and walks around the park. To adopt a new family member from the Tri-City Animal Shelter, apply online. The customer service team will review your application and contact you to set up an appointment at a time that works for you on a first-come, first-served basis. All adoptions from the Tri City Animal Shelter include vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgery.
