Get Involved and Help Your Community be Hazard-Ready!
The City of Fremont is partnering with the Cities of Newark and Union City, the Alameda County Water District, and the Union Sanitary District to develop a new Tri-City Multi-jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). The scope of the plan will address various natural hazards including earthquake, wildfire, severe weather, flood, tsunami, landslides, and more. The plan will assess local risks, and identify and prioritize strategies to reduce them.
Communities with a FEMA-approved LHMP are eligible to apply for pre- and post-disaster mitigation grant funding. The project will also develop a framework to reduce flood risk and potentially lower the cost of flood insurance premiums and businesses under the National Flood Insurance Program’s (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS).

The Fremont Family Resource Center (FRC) is developing a Strategic Plan that will guide its course for the next five years. The Strategic Plan is critical to the success of its collaboration efforts as it continues to grow and address the ever-changing needs of our community and the individuals and families it serves. That is why your voice as a representative of the Fremont Community is needed to make this process possible.
As a member of the Fremont community, we are asking you to take a brief survey on MyFremont. Your response provides valuable input into the strategic processing plan and will be shared with the strategic planning committee at its June 1, 2023 meeting to help shape the FRC's next five-year plan.

Adopt Maisie, this versatile girl loved hanging out at her temporary foster's home on a ranch with other dogs. She is good in the car, gives great hugs, loves to cuddle, and hangs out in the offices with the shelter team. She is absolutely gorgeous and would do great in a home by herself or with other dogs about her size. Maisie’s coat is as soft and pet-able as it is beautiful. To adopt a new family member from the Tri-City Animal Shelter, apply online. The customer service team will review your application and contact you to set up an appointment at a time that works for you on a first-come, first-served basis. All adoptions from the Tri City Animal Shelter include vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgery.
