The community is invited to attend a Formal Badge Pinning Ceremony for Fire Chief Zoraida Diaz tomorrow, Friday, April 28 at 2:00 pm at the Downtown Event Center and Plaza, 3500 Capitol Ave. in Fremont. The ceremony will also be streamed virtually via Zoom by using the Webinar ID 882 4668 9547.
Chief Diaz promoted from deputy fire chief to fire chief and now serves as the highest-ranking woman in the history of the Fremont Fire Department.

Upcoming May 1 City/FUSD Joint Meeting
Join us Monday, May 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for the Joint Meeting with the Fremont City Council and Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) Board. Attend the next Fremont City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 2 at 7:00 pm. City Council agendas and how to attend the meeting will be posted online in the Agenda Center at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.

The City of Fremont’s Legislative Affairs Program works closely with elected representatives and partnerships at the Regional, State and Federal level to ensure the City’s priorities and legislative advocacy efforts are heard. The program serves as a basis for action regarding any piece of federal or state legislation, funding opportunity, and policy initiatives. Join the Mission San Jose Chamber of Commerce for the Arts Mosaic event, a celebration of the arts, culture, and creativity! The event takes place this Saturday, April 29 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, so bring family and friends to enjoy an outdoor gathering featuring local vendors selling art and handmade goods. The event will be held on a section of Ellsworth Street between Washington Boulevard and Grove Street, and the area will be closed for this event.
Road Closure: Please note the following road closure will occur on Saturday, April 29, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Ellsworth Street – between Washington Boulevard and Grove Street.
The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) is planning a new bus service network and is seeking feedback from the community on their transit needs. The Realign Plan will analyze every mile of where service is currently operating in order to realign bus lines to better meet the mobility needs of current bus riders and to attract more riders during a time of bus operator shortages and budget challenges.
