The City of Fremont and Fremont Chamber of Commerce wrapped up a highly successful inaugural Fremont Restaurant Week last month. The event included over 40 restaurants across the city ranging from longstanding community anchors to some of Fremont's hottest and newest establishments. Restaurant Week served as a celebration of Fremont's diverse cultures and culinary offerings and provided critical support for small business owners during what is typically a slower time for their businesses. The overwhelming majority of participating restaurants attracted new customers, increased revenue, and widened their brand awareness. View our visual summary of the 10-day event and be sure to subscribe for Restaurant Week 2024 updates!
At next week’s City Council meeting on April 18, 2023, which begins at 7:00 pm, the Council will consider the adoption of the Urban Forestry Management Plan and will recognize April 2023 as Fair Housing Month. Visit our website to view the complete meeting agenda, as well as how to attend the Council meeting online or in person.

Starting July 1, 2023, the City of Fremont’s minimum wage will increase to $16.80 per hour. Employers are required to pay at least the minimum wage for all hours worked to hourly employees who perform work within the geographic boundaries of the City of Fremont. Employers are also required to post the official City of Fremont Wage Bulletin in the top five languages spoken in the city in a conspicuous place at each work site. The Official Bulletins, including translated versions, are available for download on the City’s Minimum Wage webpage. To avoid a reduction in the valuable services they provide to the community, the minimum wage ordinance exempts employees of non-profit corporations. For questions, please contact us by email.
