 Back to School Safety Tips
Public schools in Fremont are back in session on Wednesday, August 17th. We want to encourage drivers to be more aware and vigilant and for parents to take a proactive stance on traffic safety. Set aside some time to talk about safety with your children before they head back to school.

Sign Up Today to Bring the Community's Vision to Life!
In partnership with the Better Block Foundation, the City will test an exciting, temporary transformation of Ellsworth Street in the historic Mission San Jose district this September 9 & 10, 2022. This community-led vision will reimagine Ellsworth Street as a lively, safe, and welcoming neighborhood space and thriving commercial district for all, ultimately helping to spark creativity around the use of this public space. The two-day community block party will have something for all ages to enjoy including live entertainment, makers market, food trucks, and beer garden.
To make this a successful event, we need the participation of Fremont’s talented community. If you would like to be a market vendor or want to offer some elbow grease to help build out the street design, contact us!
 Volunteers Needed
The Safe Parking Host Site Program is searching for dedicated volunteers to help administer services in the evenings to our unhoused community members living in their vehicles.
As a volunteer, you will assist guests with checking in, in the evening and checking out in the morning and with program hospitality: delivering food, coordinating evening activities. All volunteers will receive training.
