CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY
As part of the Foothill Gold Line light rail project, crews will be working daily/nightly at the Fulton Rd. railroad crossing in the Cities of La Verne & Pomona. Crews will complete the testing of the already installed safety equipment, gate arms and signals. During these operations, the gate arms will be raised and dropped for approximately 2-3 minutes at a time. The crossing bells will be shut off during nighttime testing. The equipment testing is required to ensure all safety equipment is functional. NOTE: Thru traffic will be maintained at all times with the exception of the 2-3 minute intervals. Emergency responders will have immediate thru access when required.
WHEN
Daily/Nightly beginning Monday, April 22nd thru Saturday, April 27th, 2024.
- Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM & 10:00 PM - 4:00 AM, Monday thru Saturday. NOTE: Occasional longer work hours and testing on Sundays may be performed during the period.
TRAFFIC ADVISORIES
The Fulton Rd. railroad crossing, between Arrow Hwy. & Bonita Ave., will be affected during the testing. Metrolink parking and pedestrian access will be maintained thru railroad crossings.
NOTE TO RESIDENTS / BUSINESS OWNERS
- Noise from construction equipment will be produced near the active work zones. Light plants will be onsite.
- The crossing bells will be shut off during nighttime testing but will ring during daytime testing.
