CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY
As part of the 9.1-mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project, crews will be completing the roadway work on San Dimas Ave. south of the railroad crossing. This includes completing work on the new median, bringing the manhole to grade, and final paving and striping of the roadway on the south side of the railroad crossing. This work requires a one day full closure of San Dimas Ave. at the railroad crossing. All access to residences and businesses within the closure area will be maintained.
WHEN
Tomorrow - Tuesday, October 31, 2023 (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
TRAFFIC ADVISORIES
- Pedestrian traffic between Bonita Ave and Arrow Hwy, thru the closure area, will be maintained.
- Access to homes and businesses on San Dimas Ave. within the closure area north and south of the railroad crossing will be maintained at all times, including access to Commercial St.
PLAN YOUR ROUTE AND BE PREPARED
A detour route (see map below) will be in place during the closure and signage will be posted to direct motorists and pedestrians. Please follow detour signs.
- San Dimas Ave. will be fully closed to all traffic at the railroad crossing between Bonita Ave and Arrow Highway.
- Walnut Ave. (northbound and southbound) will serve as the main detour route, see details below.
- Bonita Ave. (eastbound and westbound) will remain open to all traffic.
- Arrow Highway (eastbound and westbound) will remain open to all traffic.
NOTE TO RESIDENTS / BUSINESS OWNERS
Noise from construction equipment will be produced near the active work zones.
