General Election Information
El Segundo is on your ballot!
Two City of El Segundo council seats are up for election.
Voters will also decide on Measure CT.
- A ‘YES’ vote would exempt charitable nonprofits from the business license tax and require non-charitable nonprofit business entities to pay the regularly-applicable business license tax under the Municipal Code.
- A ‘NO’ vote would keep the current $150 annual business license tax for both charitable nonprofits and nonprofit organizations that do not operate for charitable purposes.
- Informational PDF flyer
In-person voting is available Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Election Day, Nov. 3, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
El Segundo Vote Centers:
- Cambria Hotel LAX, 199 Continental Blvd.
- El Segundo Public Library, 111 W. Mariposa Ave.
The city’s vote-by-mail drop box on the corner of Main Street and Holly Avenue will be open until 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.

The City of El Segundo is preparing for El Nino, a naturally occurring climate pattern that may bring wetter and stormier conditions to California.
While El Nino does not mean that every community will experience heavy rain or flooding, severe weather can still occur. Preparing ahead of time can help you and your household stay safe and respond more effectively.

El Segundo | Vision 2050 is the City effort to update the General Plan Land Use Element. The General Plan is El Segundo's long-term blueprint for how the city grows and evolves, covering topics like housing, transportation, safety, and parks. While the full plan includes a wide range of topics, this effort focuses on the Land Use Element, which identifies how land can be used. The update will help shape El Segundo's look, feel, and function over the next 25 years.
