Join us for the annual Fourth of July event with races for kids, hula hooping, a water balloon toss, a watermelon eating contest presented by Rotary Club, and pie eating contest presented by Kiwanis Club during the day. The evening will feature live music from the AstroYatchs, food booths, and fireworks!
El Segundo residents can receive a maximum of 4 free wristbands per adult with a valid Rec ID card. Non-residents or those without Rec ID cards can purchase wristbands for $5 each..

Bring an appetite and get ready to get your groove on! Kids crafts, games, and giveaways will be available in the Gazebo starting at 4 p.m., which is when food trucks line up. The concert starts at 4:30 p.m. Blankets can be placed in the park after 1 p.m. Chairs are allowed but no glass containers or plastic tarps. All ages are welcome, as are dogs on a leash.

The summer reading program offers fun for all ages...including adults!
Join the El Segundo Public Library this summer by downloading the Beanstack app and registering for the challenge. Just for signing up, you will receive a prize, while supplies last. Beanstack will automatically direct you to the appropriate challenge based on your age or grade. There are three groups: youth (ages 0 - 5th grade), teens (6th - 12th grade) and adults (18+). You will earn badges and rewards as you progress and be entered into drawings throughout the summer.

The Plunge is back! Open for lap swimming, rec swim and swim lessons. Rented lap swimming lanes are limited to two swimmers only and drop-in lanes are not capped. Reservations can be made in-person, online (select "Aquatics" at the top of the page), or by calling 310-524-2738.
