The Recreation, Parks, and Library Department proudly present this free, family-friendly outdoor event combining El Segundo’s Christmas Tree Lighting tradition with the celebration of winter holidays from around the world, including Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Nochebuena, and Ōmisoka.
Enjoy live music and cultural dance performances, a visit with Santa Claus and gift giveaway, kids’ train rides, food trucks offering multicultural cuisines, craft-making stations, handmade jewelry, crafts for purchase, and more!

JingleFest Pickleball Tournament
Dec. 6, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
‘Tis the season, pickleball players! This round robin format tournament will be for fixed partners in three events: Women’s Doubles (WD), Mixed Doubles (MXD), and Men’s Doubles (MD). The entry fee is $70 per team per event. Prizes will be awarded to the team in the best holiday costume, so grab a partner and get in the holiday spirit! Register at www.esrec.org. And don’t forget — bring items for the canned food and toy drives!

Enjoy a free and delicious holiday meal at the Recreation, Parks, and Library Department's 41st Annual Community Christmas Eve dinner at the Joslyn Center. This event is open to the public and meals are available for free delivery. Transportation to/from the Joslyn Center is available to residents. Please RSVP before Dec. 19 in-person or by calling the Joslyn Center at 310-524-2705.

Letters to Santa at the El Segundo Library
Dec. 1 - 13
Have a holiday wish list? Drop off your letters to Santa at Santa's Mailbox during Library hours, and they will be delivered by our North Pole couriers. Please be sure to post your letters before Dec.13 and include a return address so that Santa can send you his reply! The mailbox is located downstairs in the Youth Library (111 W Mariposa Ave.).
The Winter Recreation Activity Guide is now available! Click here to view the guide and see all the classes, activities, and events we have coming up in the new year! Registration for El Segundo residents opens on Monday, Dec. 8 at 9 a.m. and non-resident registration opens on Dec. 22 at 9 a.m. Classes begin on Jan. 5. El Segundo Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Parade Dec. 14, 1 - 6 p.m.
This festive holiday parade features marching bands, creative floats, and vintage vehicles on Main Street from Imperial Ave. to El Segundo Blvd. This year's theme is "Santa's Workshop." Awards will be given to parade participants for best use of theme, best holiday spirit, best performers, and best musical act. For more information, visit elsegundochamber.com.

Ed! Foundation Winter Wonderland Dec. 13, 1 - 4 p.m.
This immersive holiday experience brings together communities from El Segundo and beyond. Co-hosted by Chevron, this event transforms Chevron Park into holiday magic, featuring an artificial ice-skating rink, inflatables, real snow for snow play, and a North Pole village filled with activities for all ages. El Segundo Menorah Lighting Dec. 18, 5:30 p.m.
Join the El Segundo community at City Hall Plaza for the annual menorah lighting ceremony. All are welcome to celebrate the festival of lights with hot latkes, jelly donuts, gifts for children, Hanukkah music, and dancing.

El Segundo Chamber Holiday Mixer Dec. 4, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
After the Joy Around the World tree lighting at City Hall, Chamber members and guests are invited for great drinks, small bites, music, and more at Citizens Business Bank (275 Main Street). Register online or pay at the door.

El Segundo Women’s Club Holiday Boutique Dec. 6, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The El Segundo Women's Club (541 Standard Street) will be transformed into a one-day boutique featuring local artisans and vendors selling pottery, jewelry, gifts, soap, clothes and more. Come enjoy baked goods and a chance to win vendor raffle prizes!

Snow Showers at the Point Saturdays in December, 6 - 8 p.m.
Snow is in the South Bay at The Point (the corner of PCH and Rosecrans Avenue)! Enjoy magical snow flurries on the grass every Saturday in December. Flurries will take place every 30 minutes, and last for approximately 5 minutes.

Santa's Sleigh Ride Through Town
Dec. 8, 9, 11, 15
Santa is coming to town, and he wants to meet you! The Police Officers' Association is once again partnering with the Kiwanis Club to bring Santa to the streets of El Segundo.
We expect Santa's sleigh on Monday and Tuesday, Dec.8 and 9; Thursday, Dec. 11; and Monday, Dec. 15, with an alternate/rain make-up date on Dec. 17, if needed. The Head Elf will be tracking Santa at approximately 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. each evening and the magical routes will be shared on the El Segundo Police Department’s Facebook page.
Be sure to listen for the sirens, and when you hear them, come visit Santa Claus and get a candy cane!

Annual Housing Element Community Meeting
Dec. 11, 5:30 p.m.
During the regularly-scheduled Planning Commission Meeting, staff will provide a presentation on the implementation of the 2021-2029 Housing Element, answer questions, and receive community input on the Housing Element and other housing-related topics.

Toys for Tots
Through Dec. 10
This holiday season, the El Segundo Police Department is once again partnering with the United States Marine Corps to collect new, unwrapped toys to distribute to less fortunate children during the holidays.
Help bring the joy of the holidays and send a message of hope through the gift of a new toy. There are two locations where you can donate in person. For details about the drive and donation locations, click here.

Through Dec. 19
The Spark of Love toy drive, the largest community toy drive in the nation, returns to El Segundo. This special community campaign collects new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for under-served children. Donate in-person at Fire Station #1 or text to give by texting "SPARK" to 24365.
More information is online, including an application if you have a nonprofit in need of toys.

December 2025 City Hall Closure Dates
El Segundo's City Hall will be closed for:
- Christmas Holiday - Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24 and 25
- New Year's Eve Holiday - Wednesday, Dec. 31
City Hall's regular operating hours are Monday - Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
