Local Photographer Sarah Ainsworth Display at the El Segundo Public Library
 Local photographer Sarah Ainsworth will display her images of nature, with special emphasis on the El Segundo Blue Butterfly, in the El Segundo Public Library. This exhibit runs Monday, June 2 through Monday, June 30 during the Library’s open hours.
Ainsworth will give an artist talk, with a reception to follow, on Saturday, June 21 at 2pm during the History Committee Open House at the Library. Sarah will discuss her photography as well as her interest and support of the El Segundo Blue Butterfly Conservancy, among other topics.
El Segundo-based photographer and painter Sarah Ainsworth specializes in nature and conservation photography, with a deep focus on the local environment.
Since 2023, she has worked with the El Segundo Blue Butterfly Conservancy to document the endangered El Segundo Blue butterfly and conservation efforts to protect its fragile habitat. Whether photographing coastal scenes, the majesty of our public lands, or the beauty of her garden’s blooms, her award-winning work reflects a lifelong passion for connecting with and protecting the natural world. Her images invite viewers to connect with the wild beauty that we often overlook in our busy lives.
Her work has been featured in local press, on the City’s new “Welcome to El Segundo” sign, and commercially.
