EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. – (October 16, 2024) – The City of El Segundo is proud to announce the launch of “El Segundo Connect,” an upgraded online citizen reporting tool designed to improve access to City services and streamline communication between the community and local government. In a major step forward, El Segundo Connect is available online and as a mobile app, marking the City's first-ever app.

“Our residents are often the first to spot issues in their neighborhoods,” shared Councilmember Carol Pirsztuk. “El Segundo Connect makes it incredibly easy for them to report those problems, track its progress, and stay updated. Empowering the community to play an active role in keeping El Segundo a great place to live, work, and visit.”

El Segundo Connect is now live and replaces “Report an Issue” on the City’s website. With this new user-friendly platform, users can quickly and easily report non-emergency issues from their computer or smartphone at anytime. The streamlined process prompts users to select the type of issue, add details, attach photos or documents, and provide a location. With just a few clicks, users can submit service requests directly to City staff for quick action.

Councilmember Ryan Baldino shared his enthusiasm for the launch, “El Segundo Connect represents a significant step forward in making City services more accessible and responsive. We’re proud to launch the City’s first mobile app as part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and community engagement. Best of all, the platform was designed with the user in mind, making it very easy to use.”

In addition to providing easy access to a wide range of City services and information, El Segundo Connect also features real-time tracking. By creating an account, users can track their requests and receive updates as issues are resolved. Users can also see what requests have been submitted by others, providing a comprehensive view of the activities in El Segundo.

“Our goal is to continually improve how we serve our community," shared City Manager Darrell George. "El Segundo Connect streamlines communication, making reporting and responding to issues in the City easier than ever before. When residents submit a request for service, it goes directly to the right department, allowing us to take action faster. Quicker response times mean a more efficient city, and that benefits everyone by keeping our streets, parks, and public spaces in top shape"

El Segundo Connect is now available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store – users must be in the general vicinity of El Segundo to download the app or it may not appear as an option. For more information and to start using the platform today, visit elsegundo.org/connect or search "El Segundo Connect" in the app store.
